In the summer of 2017 Richard and I had the pleasure of taking a three week summer vacation to Ucluelet, Canada. We spent the first 3 days in Vancouver then traveled to the Island of Uculet and then we spent the last two days back in Vancouver. This was a fabulous trip - so relaxing, beautiful scenery and nature, along with some of the best summer weather ever.
During our visit to Vancouver we hiked, took a helicopter ride over the the city of Vancouver, a sea plane ride to a private lake where they left us for a few hours to hike and picnic, zip lined, along with long scenic rides over the glaciers. I highly recommend both of those adventures to anyone heading up to visit and explore the beautiful area of Canada. We took a 2 hour ferry ride over to the Island of Ucluelet. Once on the Island we stayed at a fabulous airbnb for the first night as our reservations did not start until the next day. The view for the airbnb was incredible. It had a porch that wrapped around the house and was a total ocean front view.
Once we arrived in Ucluelet to our Embarc property we did so many things - Hiking, eating (nom nom) shopping, deep sea fishing (where I caught two huge salmon), and just relaxed on beautiful water front property. We were not there at the right time of the season to see Bears and we did not get to see any whale sighting which we were hoping for however it did make me want to go back again some day so that I may actually witness more of this beautiful countryside. The pictures I will share I am hoping with do this magnificent place justice.

UCLUELET, B.C. is a GREAT place to visit.
